We are honored to be selected as one of the funded projects in the Safe Seaweed Coalition’s first Call for Proposals. We have been awarded to create a reference collection of seaweed from Macaronesian Region in collaboration with the Bank of Algae and Cyanobacteria of the Azores (BACA) of theUniversidade dos Açores.

We look forward to working with the Safe Seaweed Coalition and putting this funding to use building a safe, sustainable and prosperous future in the #SeaweedRevolution.

The goal of the Safe Seaweed Coalition is to promote safety for the environment, consumers, and workers along the entire seaweed value chain as seaweed realizes its full potential.
