Temporary Suspension of BEA Services

From July 15 to October 31, 2025

The Spanish Bank of Algae (BEA) will temporarily suspend its strain distribution services and user support from July 15 to October 31, including both dates, 2025, due to administrative requirements set by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). During this period, we will take the opportunity to update our databases and inventories, carry out strain preservation tasks, and implement minor infrastructure improvements.

All shipments already scheduled with our users will be completed by July 15. No new requests or shipments will be processed during the closure. As always, the BEA team will remain available to respond to inquiries through our usual communication channels throughout this period.
